Because This Elevated my Everyday

When I was contacted by the lovely folks of Studio 5 about featuring a segment on Elevate the Everyday, I was ecstatic. I was told they would have one of their local photography correspondents cover the book and use what she gleaned to share her take on the concepts found within it’s pages. It sounded like a neat idea. Of course, I was crossing my fingers that she would be inspired by it.

A few weeks later, the segment aired and…BOOM…all of my hopes and expectations were exceeded. I am over the moon to share this wonderful segment from Utah’s Studio 5 morning show. Brooke Snow, an awesome photographer and mama totally blew my mind, not only her own insights but the images that came from how she interpreted the books messages and applied them in her everyday life. This is the reason I wrote Elevate the Everyday. Thank you to Studio 5 and Brooke Snow for elevating my everyday.

Hello Tracey, and greetings from New Zealand.

I wanted to drop you a line to thank you for writing Elevate the Everyday.

I’ve been a keen amateur photographer for a little while but capturing family life was eluding me. Your book’s made it all snap into focus – sorry for the bad pun! This from someone who is a sucker for photography books… usually written by men, by the way. I love how you organised the book; the sections make perfect sense, but the overarching sense of compassion and intimacy really struck a chord with me. The photographs by you and your collaborators always seemed to illustrate the points perfectly; they’re an inspiration.

So, thank you, from me and on behalf of my family!

The only thing is I’m not a mother, but a father!
