Tracey Clark has cultivated an expansive career integrating all the things she loves the most; photography, art, writing, teaching, and sharing her insights through books, blogs, courses, workshops, and other outlets, both live and online.
Her journey began in photography, shooting portraits and events and transitioned her experience as a pioneer in the social media space talking, teaching, and advocating for daily creative practices and collaborations in photography, blogging, and community cultivation. Though the online landscape has changed over the years, Tracey’s focus around the topics she’s passionate about has not.
Being a mother and raising two exceptional daughters (23 & 28) influenced her path exponentially, declaring herself early on as an “everyday photographer” translating even the most mundane moments of daily life into meaningful magic, long before the days of the iPhone. She’s the author of 4 books including Elevate the Everyday: A Photographic Guide to Picturing Motherhood, and Expressive Photography: A Shutter Sisters Guide to Shooting From the Heart. She founded the collaborative photo blog Shutter Sisters, was a columnist for Digital Photography Magazine, she’s created and facilitates a library of online photo-centric classes called The Picture Series, Zoom workshops, and she has 4 classes she leads for LinkedIn Learning, including the popular “How to Take Great Pictures With Your Phone”.
She’s worked with brands including Disney, Haagen-Dazs, Nintendo, Lensbaby, Stampington Press, HP and Microsoft, and Hello I Am. She’s been a champion for the UNF’s Shot@Life campaign, an advocate for Second Chance Pet Adoptions, a volunteer with OC Habitats and Walk Intuit.
As a creative catalyst, Tracey loves nothing more than to share the stories and images she’s gathered along her life’s journey in hopes to encourage and empower everyone to tap into the transformative power of creativity. She’s further embracing her multi-hyphenate sensibilities and has started showing and selling her artwork (photography and painting) which is a fulfilling progression of her long-standing creative career.
Tracey lives in a sunny So Cal coastal town and emphatically believes that perspective—and love—changes everything.
