This is my daughter. Happy. Funny. Fun. Authentic. Effervescent. I can’t tell you how it does my heart good to see her truest self shining through in this moment, captured by one of her best friends. It inspired me to write this list of wishes for her.

I wish for you to remember that the dark days will always pass.

I wish for you to recognize that your ability to feel deeply is a gift.

I wish for you to know that the world needs what only you can bring.

I wish for you to recognize and honor the highest value of your worth.

I wish for you continued resilience and resolve in the face of adversity.

I wish for you to always know the true beauty of every part of yourself.

I wish for you confidence and self-love every time you look in the mirror.

I wish for you to listen, trust, and respond to your intuition and inner knowing.

I wish for you to know the importance of using your voice and speaking your truth.

I wish for you the knowledge that everything you need, you already have within you.

I wish for you to always know how much you matter and feel how deeply you are loved.
