Last year we missed out traditional small town 4th of July affair and were on an eastern states road trip. Although there were plenty of fireworks to see at our various stops along the way (Niagra Falls for one) we were actually on the road for much of the 4th heading through the Amish country of upstate NY. All of my photos last year were captured through the passenger seat window.

This year however, we’re hanging at home again and will partake in the gathering of friends and family, parades, bbqs, pool parties and fireworks. The 4th of July at it’s best.

I do hope you enjoy all the big and little things that holidays like this one have to offer. Be safe and enjoy.

oh my gosh! I think I have been to this very place. we used to live in a town called Middleville and I used to drive out to an Amish Farm to buy cheese, eggs, veggies and whoopie pies for the kids. I love this photograph.
