allow

allow

Amidst my recent watching and waiting, my word for the year found me, just as I knew it would. Of all ironies, by allowing it to come, the word that became clear was allow.

Allow: make it possible through a specific action or lack of action for something to happen.

I can guarantee you that there are many blog posts to come on my new theme of 2012, but for right now, I am sitting with it. Musing on it. Reveling in the simple (yet complex) act of allowing.

Thank you so much for your comments on my last post. It’s so nice to watch and wait with you. And so I ask you, what are you allowing?

allow was my second runner up word this year…..even though my hubby thought it should be THE word…..but for some reason, the word REACH literally reached out and grabbed me and well, you know how that goes. when a word chooses you, you have to take it 🙂

I 'allowed' my word to come to me as well Tracey. It is so important to be patient and trust that it will happen. That was the theme of my last post where I shared my chosen word.
I hope your year is magical.

Such a fabulous word. I'm allowing myself to become the woman I want to be, slowly but surely. Love that magical photo!

Hello Tracey! How beautiful, my word is ALLOW too. It just felt great as it found me too. It has already opened up many doors for me, doors to positivity and I am so looking forward to seeing it take me through 2012. I do hope that SS is having a camp this year 😉 I am going to allow myself to attend this year. have a great day!

What a beautiful word!! I think this year – I'm allowing myself the space to change and grow! And – I just love the image of your daughter and your sweet pups. Precious and priceless!!!

My word for 2012 is COURAGE. Not so much in the sense you might initially think… more Courage to believe in myself… courage to try… courage to risk failure… courage to allow myself to have confidence.
