Bing Blogger Challenge

Bing Blogger Challenge

Have you noticed how Bing is taking the Internet by storm with the Bing It On Challenge? I can’t help but be taken back to the Coke vs. Pepsi Challenge way back when. I love clever marketing campaigns and I think this one is brilliant so when I was approached by Alt Summit, asking me to participate in the Bing Blogger Challenge, I was thrilled to try it. The truth is that I don’t even really think about how I search the web. I just use whatever search bar is handy. I figured this challenge was a perfect way to be more mindful with how I navigate the web, especially when it might actually enhance my overall experience. Why not try it out? And the other thing I love about doing this with Alt is that my daughter has also agreed to join me in the Challenge as well. With all of her school work (especially the Model UN research that has to be done daily) she seemed like a perfect candidate and was totally into the idea. And so, we’re doing this sponsored project (with Alt Summit and their partner Bing) together.

So, my daughter and I are both giving Bing a whirl as our default search engine for a week and gathering up thoughts and feedback about our experience and will be reporting back with our findings. Care to join us? I challenge you to Bing It On!

Although I wanted Bing to be a competitor to Google, its still not has good. i still prefer Google and I tested it out myself. Relevancy per search Google pulls out more than Bing and I feel that Bing has a lot of empty white spaces. Of course, all of this is just my opinion. But I’m a stickler for search engine marketing. Therefore, Google wins.
