for the love of spring

for the love of spring

I’m not sure I know anyone who doesn’t love the splendor of spring. It’s as if the whole world is waking up and beginning again. There’s so much hope and promise in that. And with so much photographic poetry to be found, it’s ideal for those of us who have a passion for photography.

I accidentally stumbled across the image above while searching for a more recent image. This was taken almost a year ago today. It reminds me of everything Spring has to offer. This year (starting April 1st- one week from today!) Picture Spring happens to be one of those things. I am giddy!

Thank you to everyone who commented on the giveaway post. I am inspired by your enthusiasm and so appreciative.

Alas! The winners of the complimentary registrations go to:

Shawna of Sweet River Photography

Karen of Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Staci aka Vintage Fairytale

Congratulations ladies! I’m looking forward to seeing you over there. As for the rest of you, I hope I see you at Picture Spring too! It’s going to be LOVEly.

Is spring singing for you yet? Feel free to share your thoughts or a link to an image. Let’s get warmed up for April 1st!

yes! The explosion of flowers finally began! The Winter Daphne is starting to get a little tired but the plum tree exploded in the last 24 hours. Just in time for for the first two showings of my home this evening. The daffodils are strong and all the other sleeping perennials have poked their heads up above the mulch. YEA spring!! I love the pic Tracey… so fresh and innocent – just like Spring herself.
