17 Dec gathering images and sisters
Reverb10, Day 9 (yes I’m way behind).
Prompt from Shauna Reid : What social gathering rocked your socks off in 2010?
Without a second thought, it was the Mom 2.0 Exhibit party at FotoFest in Houston. To have had the privilege of gathering images from amazing photographers I admire so much (most of whom I have connected with through our Shutter Sisterhood) and have those images honored like this was awe-inspiring.
And then to have a party to celebrate on top of it?
Did you ever see the video? Seriously. How much can one girl take?
It rocked my socks off indeed. Thanks for asking Shauna. I’m glad I took some time to reflect on such a meaningful experience and magical evening of 2010. I hope to create something as amazing in 2011 that I can look back on with such fondness. Crossing fingers.
What about you? Anything from the past year rock your socks off? Let’s see!

Posted at 07:35h, 17 DecemberI was just thinking to myself that I was way too behind on reverb 10 and should just stop – thank you for being behind and still posting. It's okay that I'm still on day 9. 🙂

Posted at 15:14h, 17 DecemberI met three women this year that knocked my socks off! Two in real time and one in the virtual sphere. So blessed for the connections, chemistry and sparks. No pics. But trust me when I tell you they made my heart overflow. Blessings.

Posted at 17:43h, 17 DecemberI went to the exhibit over my lunch break, so I missed getting to see and meet all the amazing photographers behind the images, but I came away with a resolve (and a picture!) to keep going with this thing that I love. Even if I don't get to do it full time yet. Thank you for putting together such an amazing community of women. http://www.flickr.com/photos/anngeedee/4371750146/ Also, I now proudly own the poster quoted in the picture and I look at it everyday.

Posted at 16:14h, 23 DecemberHello–This is my first foray into a blog. I have been feeling isolated and while Christmas shopping yesterday, spotted the artfulblogging magazine . I snapped it up! Tracey's article about I am enough really spoke to me. I am very limited on the computer but this has inspired my goal for 2011- create my own blog. The show that I saw in 2010 that absolutely blew me away was the Dale Chihuly exhibit at Cheekwood gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. The clear colors shown in the landscape, still in memory ,make me feel peaceful. Hope everyone has meaninful holidays.
