06 Sep I am Enough from Kelly Barton
Rhythm of enough.
Chanting gently lulls. A mantra sweetly moves into a rhythm and groove.
A little girl perched along the sideline, under the glow of the Friday night lights.
A little blonde chickadee, cheering her beloved pops and his boys on.
Enough.You are Enough.
The chant hums melting into a rhythm.
Drum step. A march greets the half time crowd.
Enough. You are enough
Chanting gently lulls. A mantra finds a new day, a new groove.
A mama watches her pixies dance and skip through their own days.
Amazed at their pace as she struggles with her own.
Enough. You are enough.
The chant hums melting into a rhythm.
Color splashes. She giggles, creating beauty and flare.
Enough. You are enough.
Chanting gently lulls. A mantra sprinkling a day full of a shine. That
day echoes decades of stepping along the cobbled path
practicing that skip, that beat, that rhythm. A girl finding her way.
Enough. You are enough.
A little girl perched along the sideline, under the glow of a life
following. practicing. leaping. grabbing on to the day.
Enough. You are enough.
………..
i am a girl who believes in the everyday simple. i love sharing empowering stories through each girl i paint. stories that we each tuck away in the layers of our days, sometimes just needing a little reminder that it is okay to come out and play.
i am kelly barton. mixed media artist, designer.
i own a laugh that sounds like betty rubble and a love for the word d.a.n.g.
a girl filled to the brim with color.
the girl next door.
