23 Oct post camp
It’s going to be hard for me to put into words what the past week has meant to me. When you plant a tiny seed and tend to it a little bit each day, it eventually takes hold, growing little by little until one day it blooms.
Camp Shutter Sisters was exactly that. Another sweet blossom on the Shutter Sisters tree. The blog itself was the first bud that opened, then the book, and now this…a real life gathering of women passionate about not only photography, but about seeing the world through a lens of love, wonder and gratitude. It was an unfurling of everything Shutter Sisters is about. It was amazing to behold such a beautiful sight.
I don’t know what to say beyond that except, I knew it was going to be awesome. And it was.
Here’s to all the tiny seeds out there, being planted everyday. Here’s to all of those that tend to the seed, knowing that every minute spent nurturing it is worth it. And here’s to their blossoms. Each and every one is as unique and important and beautiful as the next.
And lastly, here’s to sisterhood. I cannot imagine my life without it.
