10 Aug seeking kindness and truth
I’m doing everything I can to be kind to myself these days. Seeking comfort, acceptance and love from myself, to myself is a good start. Reminding myself a number of times each day that I am enough. I can’t imagine that something that seems like it should be a given can be so hard to believe and embrace.
Discoveries I make through my lens can help me see it at it should be seen. My camera is a true friend like that.
What do you believe? I hope it’s that you too are enough…just as you are. Be gentle on yourself. You deserve it.

Posted at 19:55h, 10 AugustThanks to the power of Facebook (lol), I will be attending an impromptu reunion tomorrow with my old Sheriff Dept. coworkers. I’ve been hemming and hawing at going because I feel so inadequate: I’m not skinny enough, I have a few gray hairs, etc. I haven’t seen these people in 25 yrs.! Then last night when my husband asked if I’ve decided to go or not, I told him I wasn’t happy with me and I didn’t really want everyone seeing me now. His response? Just go and be you. You’re better now then you were then. You’ll be enough. This from a man. Who knew?! So, I’m going to be kind to myself because really? I am enough. And yes, I’m going. lol
