the impossible

the impossible

Alice laughed. “There’s no use trying,” she said, “one can’t believe impossible things.”
“I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why sometimes I believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast!”

The fine ladies behind the Mondo Beyondo Dream Lab shared this today. It was exactly the kind of muse that can carry me a long long way. Those are quite often my favorite kind of muses.

Dreaming of ‘the impossible’ while suspending all the hows and whys is so liberating. When you’re dreaming, you don’t have to know how you’re going to get there. You don’t even have to entertain that part. You just have to live in the possibility. The energy that comes with that kind of dreaming can be nothing but good.

It’s best shot Monday today…share something impossibly delightful from your week.

I almost didn’t go last night. We spent yesterday so tired. But we went, and oh look!

I adore Alice in Wonderland – what a perfect quote to be reminded of at this point in our lives. With that said, here are my best two shots. Sometimes my boy is Fearless and so far I love being on the adventure with him.

Hello Tracy, I have been following your blog for some time…. I love all the tips and inspiration you give. This is my first time joining up with your Monday party. Thanks for hosting!

I too love the quote from Alice in Wonderland about "6 impossible things before breakfast" and I love the movie in general. Great movie! I’m dreaming big this summer…. trying to learn all I can about photography and trying to decide to do with my dream…… where do I to go with it??????

Anyway, here are a few of my best shots from this weekend….. Hope you have a wonderland day!

We were on vacation last week. It’s amazing how much our vacations change as the kids get older. No more playing in the sand and taking naps in the afternoons. My advice to anyone out there listening is to have kids when you are young. That way you can keep up when they are teenagers.

    Wipeout

How delightful!! No best shots, but I feel as though I am delving into the seemingly impossible oh-so-deeply each day now — becoming myself, existing in the "real world" of mothering, householding, and groccery shopping, and giggling with the divine through my art. Poo poo to all those who say heads out of the clouds – I’m going to keep my feet on the ground and keep right on stretching until I’m looking down on those glorious puffy clouds! 🙂

http://kennedyink.blogspot.com/2010/07/best-shot-monday.html I’m anxiously awaiting "Despicable Me" to come out – the little girl in the trailer that yells "it’s so fluffy" about the toy her dad gets for her at the fair – well, she sounds just like my niece (who is impossibly delightful – most days).

I love the quote.. If we only stuck what we felt was possible at first, the world would be a very different and boring place!

What a beautiful and inspiring post! I love your line: "The energy that comes with that kind of dreaming can be nothing but good." That’s a memorable quote in itself!
