the sweet stuff

the sweet stuff

Between all the end school year activities, birthdays, and all the awesome and super-cool action around the blogoshere, things have been moving along at a pretty steady hum. Steady being the operative word. At least that’s the goal. Instead of switching into overwhelm, I’ve been just trying to focus on the sweet stuff. I hope this Monday finds you doing the same.

Do share what you’ve been cooking up lately.

Mmm I’m all for focusing on the sweet stuff and if there’s cake involved I’m there. :0)

hmmm … thinking of sweet stuff, I am aware of all the fruit pies I’ve been eating thus far (and it is not officially summer yet!) never mind ice cream and what we’ve been baking as well. No photos of all that eating though!

We have been enjoying swimming pool weather and swim lessons. I seem to be stuck in this nostalgia for the summer’s of my childhood and working through a little mother guilt. I would love some advice!

Not much cooking lately, as we just moved and are still unpacking boxes and piling up more boxes of pizza and thai takeout. I did cut little watermelon balls out a juicy one for me and my son to enjoy today. I freezed a small bit of the rest and maybe going to make some watermelon pops.

It’s been a crazy month for us too. Lovely brilliance in your photo. We have not been "cooking up" fish. The One That Really Got Away

Yummy! My kids love to bake as well, and the frosting is always their favorite part.

We’ve been trying to focus on all of the sweet stuff we’re going to miss once we move.

    Oh so hungry now!

Though the kids and I have been staying busy, the main thing I have cooking is a huge pot of deep thought. Smells delicious but it’s going to need to simmer for quite some time.

Ohhh – that chocolate does look good. I’ve been intentionally avoiding cookng sweet stuff recently. Its Winter over here so i’ve been cooking lots of lovely warming soups.

I’m joining in My Best Shot Monday for the first time today: http://littleecofootprints.typepad.com/little_eco_footprints/2010/06/finding-beauty-in-degradation-and-destruction.html
