Week in the life : tuesday

Week in the life : tuesday

Week in the Life : Day Two.

Disclaimer: I have participated in this project for the last few years but have only really taken photos and shared them here. I have read some comments expressing feelings of being overwhelmed. I totally get that. I think I’d feel the same way if I took it to the extreme and tried to do the whole project just as Ali does it. Instead, I use Ali’s suggestions as a guide. My guess is “overwhelming” is not at all what Ali intends this week to be for you. On the contrary! I know she just wants you to enjoy it.

I just wanted to be honest with how I do the project (photos only) to give you permission to participate in a way that works for you. It’s not about doing it how other people do it. This is YOUR week. YOUR life. YOUR story. It’s OK to do it your way.

So…are you doing it? I can’t wait to hear how it’s going.

Yes I'm doing it. Yes, I would be totally overwhelmed trying to do what Ali does. Even though I love her finished books.
But my life doesn't look anything like her life.
I'm trying to concentrate on just making this a record, a snapshot if you will, of what my life looks like right now.
I think what makes it easier to do this project is seeing how many other people I know are participating, and being part of that group.

I am mostly using photos, because I am really awful at journalling (it sounds fake and forced to me). But when I make the photos into layouts for scrapping, I plan to use Ali's quotes and phrases to make the pages a little better.

when i did this last year i was really overwhelmed because i kept thinking about what the end product was going to look like. and with that feeling i never finished the project (although i do have some awesome photos of that time period). this year, i decided if i can take at least 12 photos a day as a snapshot of our life, blog it with a few words, I'm okay with that. if and when i decide to make it more…i'll have the photos and words already there.

thank you for sharing how you are doing WITL! beautiful tuesday photos:)

I am doing this project for the first time and am noticing that my days differ. The first day (Monday) I journalled a lot more than I took pictures, yesterday I took a lot more pictures and wrote less, today was a combination. I wonder what tomorrow will bring. I am also still deciding if I should bring back life to my blog with this project or just scrap about it.

Wow, love your words so much, I am working on the Week in the Life Project this week, it's my 2nd year, but I lost a bit of steam when I found out on Wednesday night that my grandmother passed away Tuesday night; it's been a bit of whirlwind since then but I am still trying as it was something I really wanted to participate in and life always goes on; that's part of what this project is all about. Thanks for sharing your perspective.
