welcoming hope home

welcoming hope home

Some images are captured with an unknowing of what they will mean later. I love uploading shots from my week and finding the hidden meaning…the symbolism behind the picture that speaks to me using just the right words; a kind and friendly gesture, a joyful expression, a yearning or symbol of hope.

My Best Shot today reminds me that every rising sun can bring offer an empty slate, a notion of hope and the assurance that all things are possible if you just make some room and welcome them home.

What sorts of photographic emblems are found in your best shots? Are you reminded of something you need to keep you content while at the same time eagerly looking forward to what’s to come? Share what you have discovered this week.

A blank slate. Yes…that’s a wonderful way to look at a new day. That beautiful birdhouse needs a lil bird 🙂 I love this shot.

Here’s my addition that does include my lil heart:

Tracey, what a lovely image. The story was brewing in you long before you took the shot, and just found the perfect time to pop open.

I feel full of hope this week, too.

Love the bird house. Isn’t it about this time of year when we all yearn for the renewal spring brings? Even though I live in the south, where winter is short, I still find myself eager for the tiny flowers, fresh green grass, chirping birds that come with spring.

I love this idea – you come up with so many wonderful ones for sharing photos!

The thing I require from my best shots is only that they take my breath away, that they leave me room for wonder and amazement, that they are something I would never have seen except for my camera.

I’ve been looking out at my birdhouse lately wanting to get that perfect shot. The problem is, we don’t get good sun out front where it hangs…. I’ll live vicariously through your birdhouse pic. 🙂

    Better late than never, right?

I love your new space and I love birdhouses! We discovered some homes of a different type….Old Victorian homes in Old Town San Diego. A beautiful little row of lovely historical homes. Here’s my BSM

The rising sun does indeed bring a moment of newness to the world otherwise unrealized on some days. It’s a lovely shot. 🙂

I’m a little late with my post, however here it is, my little joker at the valentines day party.

Hi Tracey, I have just found you and all the other shutter sisters lately and have truly enjoyed it. In fact your new blog has inspired me to start my own blogging experience. Funny that after I set it up and did my first post relating to "Searching for Spring" I read your post for the day. So, I decided to show you my photo for the weekend and a show you a little about where I am wanting to go with life. I look forward to sharing more and getting to know the sisters better.
Here is a link to my new blog – just getting it up and going so it needs alot more work but it’s a start

Tracey, oh gifted one, I love this photo. I have three little birdhouses at home, painted by our boys at various ages of, erm, paintbrush coordination and presented to me with enormous artistic pride. Thanks for reminding me of them.

Cannot wait to see you at Mom2.0!
